Bad day in Rideville

So we were having a nap this afternoon and our friends next door phoned to see if we had heard the news. Roy Shivers has been fired from the Rider organization. I am still in shock over this. I will post more when I know what I want to say about it all.

WOOOHOOO

Wooohooo the riders won. It's about time too. Unfortunately our friend Marcus dislocated his elbow on his non throwing arm and will be out 4-6 weeks. Rocky was put in the game and he did not bad. We all made it on the big screen again at the game. Unfortunately the people who sit behind us missed this game as well. I think this is the one they said they would have to miss but we will see them on Labour day. I know Terry will be excited he missed seeing the kids this weekend.

Well that's all for now should go do some school work.

My week so far

So on Monday it was Rick's B'day. We didn't do much (no money). We did go out for supper though at East Side Mario's as always it was good food. Terry even tried something different and he enjoyed it. He is growing up so much and trying more and more new things it is great. So on pay day we got Rick his B'day present we got him his trip to Winipeg, his Rider mini helmet, a rider key chain, and a rider bottle opener in the shape of a helmet.

Went to watch practice yesterday and while there Terry was playing with another kid his age and so Rick and I started talking to the kids Dad who turns out he just got back last Saturday from Afghanistan(?sp) Wow he has done several tours all over the place including Bosnia. He was a very nice person to talk to. When Terry and I went to Walmart later we ran into them again. We also met coach Condell's wife and infant son. She was really nice to talk to as well. They are enjoying it here in Regina so far. She said the people here are so nice all the time.

But Atlanta is hungry for breakfast post more another time.

Why oh Why can't the riders win. I am getting furious with my team. Joseph needs to get pulled it is obvious to everyone but him and Danny that he is hurt and needs to rest his damn knee. Crandell can so do the job and I am not just saying that because I know his wife and son. There needs to be some changes and some players pulled when they aren't doing there job. No more of this lets wait and see shit.

So anyways got that out now on to other stuff. Today at the North Central Family Center (where Matt and Lisa go all the time) they had a family BBQ today and some of the Riders came by for a little bit. There was O'day, Shultz, Hunt, DC, CG#2, TJ, Joseph and a few others. It was nice to see that many of them show up. Of course we chatted with Reggie for a bit Rick took a pic of him with his mom.
While at the Center today Atlanta got stung by a wasp on her hand. It was quite swollen for a little while then it started to get better. She seems alright tonight but I will be watching her for the night.

Well it is late I am off to bed night all.

This is just a few of the people on our bus to Calgary. They were a blast. If it weren't for these guys the trip home would have been very long and boring. I believe I heard mention that never before had there been so many liquor stops on one of these road trips. In the pic is Amac (in the cowboy hat),Shabam(in blue shirt) and profile of Shaun. These three guys drank so much on the way up between Medicine Hat and Calgary they polished off so much liquor it impressed me that they made it through the football game and they went out afterwards yet.

As for the game itself it SUCKED. The riders lost obviously. The stadium did not impress me at all. They had one womens washroom per quarter of the stadium. Beer was 5.25. Where we sat there was a sea of green all around I will post the pic later. There was a couple of Stamps fans around us and they were rubbing it in that they were winning and some rider fan threw a 3/4 full beer at him and it hit his wife on the head. that was totally uncalled for. We left our section shortly after that as we wanted nothing to do with those losers. We did stop and see if she was ok and apologize on behalf of all Rider fans.

After the game we hung out and said hi to all the players we know and then went to the Keg for food and drinks. It was packed in there and we payed for only one drink the whole time we were there. After that we went to go to the Hotel to shower up and go out for a bit. First we stopped to get Rick some smokes. Rick waited outside while I ran in this guy commented to Rick that the riders lost on his way in was nice to him. When he came in the store from the second he walked in he was herassing me about how the riders lost and all rider fans are assholes and we should all go back to the stinky province we are from and on and on and on. I asked him several times to stop it and leave me alone. I was very nice about it but he just kept on getting more and more ignorant. I finally told him to leave me the fuck alone or I would hit him with the flag pole I was holding he said I would like to see you try. So I hit him. Rick walked in seen me upset asked him what he was doing and the guy pushed Rick and then Rick pushed back he pushed him all the way to the door the guy eventually bought his smokes and left but he did show his arm where I hit him and it was already welting and purple. Some people are such losers. But unlike him he I will not lump all Stamps fans into one catagory with him as assholes because they are not all that way. we met some really nice ones and that is what I will focus on. Other than the ass I had a really good time only cried once the whole time I was gone about missing the kids and that was Sunday morning. When I got home when I walked in to Nans living room Baby Girl started crying until I was holding her and every time I put her down for a while she would cry. So I think she missed me alot. The boy says he missed me too. Enjoyed myself but was glad to be home. 

Special Day

I haven't posted in a few days as they have been busy ones.
Yesterday took Terry to the Ex. he had a blast. We actually got him a day tripper this year and I think it was well worth the $30. He went on so many rides I can't remember them all. He did go on the Log ride on the big kids side this year and I am so proud of him for that. I asked him after he got off how it was and he said it was scary but fun, when asked if he wanted to go again it was a quick no. But he had fun played a few games won some toys and ofcourse MOM won the biggest toy this year again.

So today is my birthday. I had to go out and buy my own present from my hubby beacause he never knows what to get me but I don't mind I get what I want that way. This year I got a new Rider shirt and some capri's oh and some Rider earrings.

So only two more days till we go to Calgary I am getting excited to go but nervouse to leave the kids. I know they will be fine but I am going to miss them alot.
